I should have known that a picture is worth a thousand words, and I’m afraid my last post might have caused some confusion. So I thought I’d try to set the record straight with another picture. This is Chantecaille Real Skin, blended. Unfortunately it blended so well, my camera had nothing to focus on. I tried using my pen to draw lines on my arm — to trick the camera — but it didn’t work. I may try this experiment again at some future date, using lipstick as a divider instead.
And since we’re on the subject, I thought I’d share with you something the sales associate told me: that Real Skin is not great for oily/acne-prone complexions. Apparently the best choice for that skin type is Future Skin, which is an oil-free, gel foundation that comes in a pot (rather than a compact), and it’s slightly heavier coverage. I’ll get that swatched for you asap.
