Armani Lip Wax ($26) is potted lip product somewhere between a balm and a stain. The sales associate encouraged me to rub my finger in the tester (this never happens) — it has an interesting texture. The top layer of wax will be softened by your finger (or the warmth of display lights), but the bed of product below it will remain quite firm, so there’s no chance of accidentally poking your finger through it. And though finger-application may stain your fingertips (particularly with shades 4, 5, and 6), the product is not a stain, and Laura Mercier Purifying Oil will take it off. Lip Wax comes in a .06 oz tub.
