MAC’s Suite Array collection includes eight eyeshadow suites (duos, $16) and eight Pearlglide liners ($14.50). Suite Array officially comes on on September 25, along with Cremesheen lipsticks and Gold Fever, but it’s already available online.
The Pearlglide liners are really soft — softer than MAC’s Powerpoints. I guess I was coloring my arm a little too vigorously, because I broke the tip off Bankroll just trying to get a swatch. It would seem impossible to get a fine or precise line with these. If the colors remind you of UD 24/7 liners or the MAC Kohl Power liners, you’ve got a good memory. Pearlglide liners are water-resistant, but not waterproof.
MAC is showing its roots a bit with its Eyeshadow Suites. The eyeshadow duos come in sliding cases like you’ve probably seen in a Clinique gift-with-purchase (both Clinique and MAC are owned by Estee Lauder). I found these shadows to be generally low in pigmentation; Team Violets and Counterparts were most successful. I also did a few quick comparison swatches (definitely not comprehensive). To look back at any other MAC eyeshadow, you can search by name, using the search box at the top left corner of the page, or search by texture: Frost, Lustre, Matte, Matte², Satin, Starflash, Veluxe, Veluxe Pearl, or Velvet.
