Laura Mercier Holiday Eye Colour Palette

Laura Mercier is offering a plethora of palettes this holiday season. We previously looked at her Master Toolbox, a handsome double-decker palette containing both eyeshadow and lip color. For those of you who don’t like paletted lip products (confession: I can’t work a lip brush), the Eye Color Palette is one of three eye-only options.

The Eye Color Palette contains 4 eyeshadows and a cake eyeliner. Cake eyeliner is a pressed cake of pigment that you apply with a wet brush. Simply dip or spritz your brush with water and muddle it over a small section of the cake — until you get a paste approximately the consistency of shoe polish. The application results should be both precise and long-lasting, which is why cake liner is so frequently recommended for tightlining. To see Laura’s other cake liner shades, click here.

The Eye Color palette is $48, and it comes with a double-ended brush. For your reference, her eyeliner is $20 alone, and eyeshadows are now $22 each. is offering free shipping at any price until December 16, though the Sephora FF online sale (20% off) has been extended by one more day.

Laura Mercier Eye Palette: Bleu Marine, Blu Marine, Blue Marine, Coffee Ground, American Violet, Cafe Au Lait, Sandstone

    >ok question, and it might be a stupid one. But do you go to the department store to do the swatches? Do they look at you funny? Please explain! Love your swatches however you do them.

    >Yes, and sometimes! I do swatch at store counters, and I’d like to say I’m friends with some of the people who work there.

  • Katee "e-polishblog" says:

    >LOL thanks! I figured you must be friends, or get to be friends, with some of them :)
