MAC Mineralize represents the permanent component of the Sheer Minerals collection. Minerals are hot right now, so MAC brings you three foundation choices: Fluid (Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15, $28), Loose Powder (Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation/Loose, $29), and Pressed Powder (Mineralize Skinfinish/Natural, $25).
The collection also makes permanent six of the Mineralize Blushes (previously swatched with Sonic Chic; click for pictures): Gentle, Dainty, Warm Soul, Love Thing, Gleeful, and Love Joy. They’re $21 each, and for the moment, Merrily and Nuance are also still available on MAC’s website.
And in a classic case of the personal hazards of swatching… Mineralize introduces 6 permanent Mineralize Eyeshadow duos, and I think I like four of them. While these probably aren’t as smooth as regular eyeshadows, they’re much smoother than the trios in Red She Said (swatches) and the color combinations are great. I wasn’t as enthused about similar eyeshadow duos in Electroflash (swatches), but some of those are still available on MAC’s website, too. These duos are $17.50 each.
The collection also includes two (permanent) Mineralize Skinfinish highlighters/bronzers — Soft and Gentle and Gold Deposit ($25 each). Yes, Soft and Gentle is ALSO part of Sheer Minerals. Not sure how that happened.
I swatched Gold Deposit next to So Ceylon so you could compare — I think So Ceylon is a little more red, whereas Gold Deposit is a little more orange/golden. I also think the sparkle in So Ceylon is of a finer (smaller) grade. I prefer So Ceylon.
MAC Mineralize: Engaging, Earthly Riches, Family Silver, Heat, Element, Illusionary, Burning Ambition, Brightside, Bright Side, Gallery Gal, Soft and Gentle, Soft & Gentle, Gold Deposit, So Ceylon
