ArmaniSilk Lipstick, Part 1

Some time ago, I received a request for Armani lipsticks — I swatched the Sheers and the Shines, and I’ve finally completed the ArmaniSilks (there are a lot of them!).

I was really surprised by how many different finishes fall under the ArmaniSilk umbrella — sheer, full-coverage, creme, sparkly, shimmery… they’re very diverse. Those that love them cite their great texture and long-wear.

ArmaniSilk lipsticks are $25, available online at Giorgio Armani Beauty, Saks, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus.

If you love the Sheer or Shine lipsticks, don’t wait to pick them up. My sales associate said that the Sheers and Shines were going to be discontinued (but that the ArmaniSilks were here to stay), and that a new lipstick formula was going to be released in early 2009.

ArmaniSilk lipsticks: 1 (sheeny, mauvey brown), 2 (cool purple), 3 (cool pink with gold sparkles), 4 (very pigmented fuchsia creme), 5 (very pigmented watermelon), 6 (very pigmented, some shimmer), 7 (shimmery, more sheer coral), 8 (shimmery, more sheer, cooler, blue-pink), 9 (shimmery, more sheer warm-pink)
