Today I have for you the final third of Chantecaille’s current eyeshadow shades. I keep alluding to “current” eyeshadow shades because the company recently discontinued several colors in their move to paraben-free. For the time being, most of these shades can still be found on Chantecaille’s website, which is offering free shipping until August 12. And as a special treat, I was able to track down several of these discontinued shades, which will be the subject of tomorrow’s post.
What I like about Chantecaille eyeshadows is how refined they are. When I describe a shade as shimmery or sparkly, it’s a whole different ballgame from a “shimmery” shadow from another brand. And if you wondered what difference it made that a shadow was “jet-milled,” the texture of these will make you a believer.
Titanium is a cool (blue) grey with tiny, very subdued sparkles. Mica is a grey blue, kind of like fog. Aqua (a new shade) is a sheeny, slightly duochrome teal blue-green. Meteorite (a new shade) is a beautiful, shimmery, ashy brown taupe. Smokey Topaz (which I would have called Smoky Topaz; another new shade) is a matte, cool brown. Chocolate (another new shade) is a sparkly deep red purple brown. Tanzanite is a beautiful, sparkly blue-purple. Celestite is a matte, very grey purple-brown. Obsedian (a new shade, which I would have spelled Obsidian) is a matte, very soft black. Star Sapphire is peacock blue. Malachite is a sparkly, deep black-green. And Lapis is a rich, blackened navy.
