Fall is Urban Decay's Mambo #5: there's a little bit of everything in it. Last week we talked about their new primers. They've also made several small-but-excellent additions to their permanent line — deluxe eyeshadows, lipsticks, and lip liners (luckily, I have swatches of all).

Clinique just released a new lipgloss: Vitamin C Lip Smoothies. These contain vitamins C and E and shea butter — and they're being made permanent to the line. They're $17.50, which is a little more expensive for Clinique (generally priced like MAC, in the $14 range for lipsticks and glosses).

As part of a huge list of new-for-fall items, Urban Decay just launched a plethora of new primers. NARS' well edited fall collection is now on counters — bringing five new items to ogle and admire. There are three new eyeshadow duos ($32 each). Indian Summer is my favorite; I love that shimmery cool wheat color on the left, even if I'm not exactly sure how to best make use of the muted mustard on the right.

I can't help myself: after weeks of swatching fall collections, I'm dreaming of red lipsticks and boots and falling leaves... even though it's still 100 degrees outside.

Makeup Art Cosmetics is sort of a homecoming for MAC. The collection (set to release August 20) features three artists — a painter, an illustrator, and a photographer — and cosmetics inspired by their styles (an homage to artists of all media).
