NARS’ well edited fall collection is now on counters — bringing five new items to ogle and admire. There are three new eyeshadow duos ($32 each). Indian Summer is my favorite; I love that shimmery cool wheat color on the left, even if I’m not exactly sure how to best make use of the muted mustard on the right. Silk Road offers two shades of pink (pale ballerina and chunky-glittery peony); and Brumes offers an intriguing combination for the dark-shadow lover: dark grey and very blackened blue.
Mekong (an eyeshadow single, $22) is amazing. It is SO pigmented in just one swipe, and quite smooth for how intensely darkly sparkly it is. There’s just one new lipstick ($24) in NARS’ fall collection — Fast Ride — but I swatched Klute and Scarlet Empress because they’re included on the display unit. There’s also just one new nail polish (Tokaido Express — gorgeous!), but I swatched Temptation and M. Butterfly because they have a dedicated space on the display. I really regret that NARS polishes are $16, because they are fantastic and incredibly strong.
