Guerlain’s holiday collection is here! Bringing peace and joy to makeup lovers everywhere.
Guerlain has imagined their holiday collection as a modern day fairy tale (that’s My Fair Lady for the rest of us). The limited edition packaging is baroque and bejeweled — fit for an empress (played by Natalia Vodianova).
The collection includes several special holiday items. There is a new shade of Meteorites face powder: Perles Imperiales ($53). The new shade contains “mauve and white illuminators, with pink for freshness and gold for light” — for an all-over, finishing glow (or perhaps a highlighter for some?). Guerlain’s famous “balls” are also packaged in a sexy, limited edition black canister.
There’s also a new Meteorites Voyage Imperial (the pressed powder version of Meteorites; $180). And, as last year, Guerlain is releasing a limited edition Sublime Radiant Powder for Face and Body ($85), a Marie-Antoinette-worthy atomizer that sprays a sparkly powder for shoulders and decollete, for all those holiday galas you’ll be attending.
The Imperial Collection also includes a new, limited edition eyeshadow quad ($58): 407 Bal de Minuit. The shades are: shimmery white with just a touch of gold; soft, ballet pink; silvery brown taupe; and a browner (but still cool brown) taupe. All four shades are shimmery, and the quad is definitely cooler than Brun Mordore from Slavic Beauty (which I re-swatched for comparison).

There are two new Rouge G de Guerlain lipsticks: 11 Grace and 12 Gems. To make your holidays extra special, the already lavish Rouge G case has been further embellished by the addition of a black jewel. These two shades are limited edition, and $45 each.
There are also three limited edition shades of Kiss Kiss Gloss (all shimmery, $29 each): champagne Perle de Lune, tan Ambre Precieuse, and violet-raisin Rubis Rose.

There is also a limited edition holiday Le 2 de Mascara: #12 Reine de Nuit ($35). Naturally, I didn’t swatch it, but the smaller wand has fine gold glitter.

>Incredible! Brun Mordore and Bal de Minuit could not be more different (well for a neutral freak like me anyway LOL). Those lipglosses are to die for! Thanks Karla!
>WOW, that is some expensive makeup!
>I got my haul of Guerlain last week. I was so disappointed with the e/s it was a complete wash on my skin tone – could not tell where the MU was and where was my natual skin tone. So I skipped, I wish they had done something for colourful rather than another neutral palette. The Brun Mordore actaully works better on me. Bal de Minuit is def. for ppl with lighter skintones.
>I've just bought the new eyeshadow quad on eBay (for a lot less than it would cost in the shops) and hoping to get the other items there too as I really don't want to fork out $180 for the powder! Did you not swatch the Meteorites and the Voyage Powder? Or do they not show up much?
>Thank you Karla, total gorgeousness as always. You are making me want to go back and check out Gems lipstick!
>Wow. Guerlain = out of my price range, but as I am always drawn to cool browns, Bal de Minuit is tempting. Another one for the Christmas list, perhaps.
>Even though it's pricey…I splurge on Guerlain – always beautiful colours – love the lipglosses.
I love how you swatch the colours on your skin. Thank you!
