Armani’s holiday collection has arrived at counters (but so far without its official display unit). The collection is called Art Deco, and the centerpiece of the collection is the Crystal Palette, a Swarovski-crystal-bedazzled compact containing an eyeshadow quad and a highlighter ($98). Every piece in the collection is new and limited edition.
There are two Armanisilk lipsticks, also in blinged out (ergo limited edition) tubes: 94, which is shimmery brown, and 95, va-va-voom red. On account of the crystals, these are $38 each.
There is also a new lipgloss, Lip Shimmer 61 — it matches Armanisilk 94 perfectly. Since it doesn’t have special packaging, it should be regular price ($26).
And do you remember the Pink Light collection from spring of this year? It contained a loose powder called Pink Light. That same product has essentially been re-released in pressed form: It’s called Sheer Shimmer 5 ($42). I’ll try not to give my usual spiel about the way Armani names their products.
Not swatched but still worth mentioning: the collection also includes Gold Patina, a green-gold sparkly top coat for mascara ($28), and two nail polishes. There were no testers, so I couldn’t swatch, but 41 is red and 40 is metallic tan (in case you want to match your polish to your lipstick).

>Looks spectacular, Karla!!
>the red looks stunning. but my eyes were on the lip shimmers and the eye shadows.
>Excuse me but… what's wrong with Armani's cosmetic name???
V
>Ah, V. It's Armani's use of similar sounding names + numbers for his products — not to mention the fact that he reuses numbers (as does YSL).
To wit: His lipstick formulas are Shine, Sheer, and Silk (and the lipgloss is Shimmer). For me, that's just a disaster waiting to happen.
Here's the last time I complained about it: http://karlasugar.blogspot.com/2008/08/armani-shine-brilliant-lipstick.html
