When I’m feeling like a badass, I’m much more likely to express it through my makeup or nail polish than through my clothes or accessories. Studded belt? Probably no. Studded nail polish? Definitely yes.
Studded goes on a sparkly silver, then dries to a matte finish (with the same speed as Wham, Bam, Glam). I really liked the “refined tough girl” look — not as harsh as black nail polish, but still edgy. I had been considering a purchase of Orly’s matte Iron Butterfly — a darker, more charcoal/gunmetal shade — once I saw Studded, that thought dissipated.

I swatched this one in its matte form twice. The first shot was overcast, but showed the black and silver speckles better. I took another shot in full sunshine — it almost looks like I have topcoat on, doesn’t it? Also, in sunlight, I thought Studded went a little pewter; I thought I saw a bit of gold reflecting in it. Naturally, that made me love it more.

And here it is one more time with the shiny topcoat. The difference doesn’t look that significant in these two pictures, but you’ll definitely appreciate it more on your own hands.

Wow, I had no interest in this one until you posted the pic with the topcoat and used the word PEWTER! It will be mine! Thanks Karla!
I am really loving that color.
When I first glanced at it I thought it was just silver, but now that I see the sparkles…wow. I like it!
Er…sparkles? I meant speckles. Anyway, yeah. I’m making a note of this one.
Ooh this is gorgeous! How does it wear? I bought one of OPIs mattes and it chipped like mad
