I’m not sure how far in advance this news is coming, but Lancome has some totally fabulous new lipsticks coming out. The new formula is called Color Design Matte, and I’m already a huge fan. Color Design Mattes come in 8 shades. They feel incredibly creamy and moisturizing and comfortable on the skin — not what I normally associate with a matte lipstick.
All week, I’ve been asking you guys what makeup thing you thought you’d never do? Matte lipstick was totally on my list. But I instantly fell in love with Stylista — it just looks so chic.
Like all Color Design lipsticks, the matte shades are $22.
I’d heard some rumors that Macy’s was supposed to have the exclusive on these first, then they’d be available on the Lancome website, but my Lancome boutique already had them in… so now I’m not sure.

Ooh…they look so pretty Karla! I went to the Macy’s website and they have them, but they say “no longer available” and you can’t even click on it to look at colors, etc. Weird! I may have to see if my Macy’s has them tomorrow when I go.
I also think Stylista is the prettiest color ! I’m gonna check it out tomorrow !
I like it! They look so much more wearable compared to the frosty lancôme lipsticks I’ve tried in the past. Posh pink and Corset look as if they could fit in my lipstick “wardrobe”.
Very pretty, but these are definitely not matte.

My Macy’s had them…they just put them out yesterday. They are very nice! I got Stylista and Lucky Kiss…and best of all they have no scent!!!
Oh my Gosh! I got to have Corset, it looks so pretty.
I checked these out at Macy’s today. I was a big fan of Lancome’s Matte Neutrale, a lipstick they discontinued years ago, and Stylista looked, in your photo, a lot like it. But I tried it on and it’s much pinker than Neutrale (but still pretty). I also tried Posh Pink and Red Haute, and they looked good on me, too. They don’t look matte in the photo, but they definitely are “in the flesh.”
Oh man… I need Posh Pink and Corset. I may even skip the Rouge Cocos for one of these first. I’ve never, ever been able to wear matte lipstick before and those colors just look so perfect for spring/summer!

I adore matte lipsticks and if these are even the slightest bit similar to the Mattes in the Declaring Indigo Collection, I will be adding Red Haute and Corset to my lipstick collection for sure.
I hope Australia sells this line.

Lori, I just ordered ‘Lucky Kiss’ from Macy’s website. They must have received stock since you tried to order – so check again.
Someone mentioned they weren’t matte, but they sure look matte to me.
