I checked my feelings about it with some Laura Mercier sales associates, and they said, "no, no. It's buildable. It's very sheer if you apply with a damp sponge." Unlike a lot of brands, Trish's powders (eyeshadow, blush, eye definers) are sold as loose pans. Everything is modular — 1 blush = 2 eyeshadows; 1 foundation/bronzer pan = 2 blush — but you have to buy your own compacts (or planner pages for the hardcore). If you travel, or you really like do-it-yourself compacts, it can be a good thing.
