Korres started out (in 1996) as an all-natural skincare brand, and in the last year or so — to the delight of their fans — expanded their offering to include color cosmetics. One of the most talked-about “color items” is their Mango Butter Lipstick. These sheer, moisturizing lipsticks contain Mango Butter (doy), vitamins C and E, and SPF 10. They are $18 each, available in Sephora and in Korres’ flagship store in NYC. (The perfect item for your 15% Sephora discount?)
Don’t they look so pretty all together like that? Though some of the shade names left me scratching my head.
24 Purple is a very cool, purply rose. 45 Coral is bright coral (and is the only shade designated as a “gloss” on Korres’ webpage). 18 Peach is sheer raspberry with gold sparkles. 14 Pink is sheer strawberry (a little redder than Peach). 54 Fuchsia is sheer, violet red. 12 Frost Pink is frosty, shimmery pale pink. 36 Natural Brown is sheer, shimmery tan. 33 Nude is warm, slightly rosy nude. 13 Natural Pink is blush-pink. 25 Natural Purple is sheer red-brown. 22 Rose and 38 Cinnamon are designated “Sheer Color Brilliant High Shine.” I copied the shades names off the display in Sephora; Korres’ webpage calls 22 “Naked Rose” and 38 “Naked Brown.” Rose/Naked Rose is a lovely peach-pink with a few gold sparkles; Cinnamon/Naked Brown is sheer tan with a few gold sparkles.
My local Sephora does not carry 47 Orange Brown or 52 Orange Red.
