Sneak Peek: MAC Nudes and Chromagraphic Pencils

Two small collections are coming to MAC Pro stores on May 13th:

The first is Nudes.

Nudes repromotes Lip Erase ($18) in Pale (flesh tone NC27) and Dim (flesh tone NC37) — both permanent items.

It also features Chromagraphic Pencils ($14.50) — in not just NC15/NW20 and NC25/NW30, but also NC42/NW35. All of these will be permanent to pro.

Pro Longlash mascara is repromoted ($13), as is Naked pigment ($19.50). There are also two new “naked” pigments: Naked Dark and Naked Deep Dark. These will be permanent additions to the line.

But wait there’s more! MAC is also unveiling an expansion of the Chromagraphic Pencils. Additional shades (also $14.50) include:

  • Basic Red
  • Genuine Orange
  • Primary Yellow
  • Landscape Green
  • Marine Ultra
  • Rich Purple
  • Black Black
  • Pure White
  • Hi-Def Cyan
  • Process Magenta

With the exception of Black and White, none of these are recommended for waterline. In fact, Red, Orange, and Magenta aren’t recommended for the eye area at all.

Marine Ultra, Black, and White are not recommended for use in the lip area.

Really disappointing about not being eye/lip safe. I’d have loved a magenta eyeliner – those are hard to come by!

  • Shannon says:

uh, so for those that are not eye safe, what are you supposed to use these for…? O___o coloring pencil for your kids???

  • KarlaSugar says:

Well you aren’t supposed to use the reds around your eyes, but the rest can be used as regular eyeliners (just not waterline. Black and white can be used on waterline).

And you can use almost all the colors on your lips… if you want green lips. :)
