This week I’m giving away Guerlain’s new Meteorites Perles in Harmony 03: Teinte Dore. As we discussed about a month ago, Guerlain’s famous “balls” have been reformulated. Â The irresistible jars are filled with candy colored pearls; each color is selected to lend a particular benefit (correcting, light diffusing, etc.). The blended powder that your brush picks up will even skintone and add a healthy glow.
Here’s how it works:
- This giveaway starts today and ends Sunday, May 23, at midnight.
- You can enter once per day. (If you enter more than once per day, only the first entry will be counted.)
- This giveaway is open to readers anywhere in the world.
- A winner will be selected at random from the valid entries.
- To enter, leave a comment on this post, and tell me about a makeup event you attended (a MAC launch, an Avon party, a visit by a national makeup artist, a tradeshow, etc.). Â I had so much fun at The Makeup Show this weekend I want to hear stories from you guys, too.
Winners will be contacted by email, so please use an email address you check (addresses will be hidden, and will not be used for any purpose other than contacting the winner).
Good luck!

I have only been to Mary Kay parties.
Unfortunately i havent attended a make up event yet.
I’ve attended MAC makeup events which are great and very informative!
no makeup party for me, but I have stopped at events by certain brands at department stores and had my makeup done by the MU artist.
It’s not really an event, but once I had a Diego dalla Palma makeover (it’s an italian brand, don’t know if it’s available in the US) and it was actually a pretty nice experience. I love getting my makeup done as it’s so relaxing and there is always a chance of learning something new from a professional. Also it’s interesting finding out how other people see you i.e. think what would suit you.
It’s a long time I don’t go to a make up event.
I haven’t been to a makeup event yet
I got my makeup done by a Giorgio Armani national makeup artist a few months ago.
I haven’t attended any makeup events either. It would be great to have my makeup done by a professional artist.
I haven’t been to a makeup party yet but sometime I would like to go to a MAC party
MAC launch party for the Fafi collection.
I went to the MAC Pret A Papier party at Nordstrom.
Mary Kay, terrible party I went to. :/
I’m here to enter again
. didn’t go to a make up ‘event’ today but I did get matched for a Bobbi Brown corrector and Lancome foundation, had a lot of fun chatting with the sales associates, got a lot of samples, and got to smell the full range of Jo Malone fragrances — all in all, a great day!!
Still haven’t been to any events, hahaha… They don’t hold that many where I am, though. Most of the ones are downtown about an hour away.
I haven’t had the chance to attend a makeup show. =(
Have not had the pleasure yet. But one day….
I attended a Chantecaille event at my local NM, it was really fun and I got lots of great samples
The last makeup event I attended was a spring trend show at a popular department store in my city. I love makeup but I don’t think I’d go to a similar event again. I think the blogs I read do a better job at keeping me updated on cosmetics trends.
I haven’t even been to a make up event
Still no makeup events
I have attended a few events at Nordstroms when I can catch them and last summer I drove to Mass to attend a BE National Maekup event at a BE store.
never been to an event!
i went to a dior event and had my make up done also . but was not such an amazing experience.
I haven’t been to a beauty event yet, but would love to do!
I love to go to Nordstrom beauty events and get makeovers-does that count?
I attended a makeup talk from a makeup school, School of Makeup, where they taught us some makeup techniques and had a demostration on a model.
I have attended MAC Launch party and once a Make-up trade show kind of thing.
I’ve never been to a real makeup event!
i wish i could go to one! but there’s never nothing good here.
At my one & only makeover (with the lovely Bobbi Brown herself) I learned an interesting tidbit. After she applied (a ton of) eye cream under each eye, followed by concealer, she tapped the skin gently and did NOT use any setting powder. This resulted in rather dewy skin under my eyes, which was very unnatural looking, IMHO. I didn’t say anything because hey . . . Anywho, after Bobbi was off & away I asked one of her MU artists if I could dab some setting powder (Pale Yellow, please) under my eyes “because I guess Bobbi didn’t have time to.” Well, I was quickly told, in no uncertain terms, that Bobbi did NOT forget. She always prefers a dewy look under the eyes. Wow. Who knew? Not me, clearly. I dabbed on some setting powder anyway
I have never been to one but would love to
I’ve attended a MAC makeup event in Paris!
I attended a Laura Mercier event and it was very informative. Instead of the moisturizing foundation which I prefer they recommended the tinted moisturizer. I purchased everything they slapped on my face. So far, no regrets.
I think the only event I’ve been to related to makeup is a Kiehl’s launch at my favorite boutique.
I once had a Mary Kay lady who constantly pursued me at my workplace and I finally gave in to a 10 minute makeover in the break room to make her happy.
hi karla! I have been to an avon party and it was pretty fun. i’m not an avon fan but it was nice bonding
No makeup events, though I’ve been invited to some of those “buy a $50 gift card & get your MU done” events by MAC.
I went to an avon party a little bit ago
I’ve only ever been to one Mary Kay party, but it was a lot of fun. I got to try out different eye shadow looks that I normally never would have. I also found my HG eye cream, so I really can’t complain
A beauty gala @ Neiman’s
Launch of Prescriptives FLIRT fragrance at Bergdorf Goodman!
Still no parties for me.
I have only been to a Mary Kay party as well, but I actually got an invite from MAC to one if their launch parties!! I was so excited at just getting an invitation! Too bad it was a collection that I didn’t want anything from.
The last makeup event I attended was the MAC Spring Color Forecast release party in Feb, had a great time with friends!
I attended a Mary Kay party given by my boss. It was awkward since she kind of expected people to buy something, but fun anyway.
The only event I have been to is a National Makeup Artist Event at my Lancome Counter
The only makeup events that I ever went to were Avon and Mary Kay ones that my mother or her high-ups did. I went to them when I was a kid until I was a teenager, and happened to not be into makeup, so I thought they were incredibly boring. Looking back, I probably would enjoy them at least a little now, since I wasn’t the one being pressured to buy anything, but back then it was about as bad as sitting through my brother’s school plays, hehe.
i went to my department store’s gala event. tons of fun!
I have been to a makeup fair in my city: Granada.
