This week I’m giving away Guerlain’s new Meteorites Perles in Harmony 03: Teinte Dore. As we discussed about a month ago, Guerlain’s famous “balls” have been reformulated. Â The irresistible jars are filled with candy colored pearls; each color is selected to lend a particular benefit (correcting, light diffusing, etc.). The blended powder that your brush picks up will even skintone and add a healthy glow.

Beauty in pink (this weekend in Dublin:)) – amazing demos by makeup artists, cool new makeup brands.
I have only been to a Mary Kay party. It was just ok.
I haven’t had the chance to attend a makeup show.
I have only been to Mary Kay events, which are nice in that they cover skincare and makeup. However, their makeup products aren’t the greatest and the representatives aren’t the best artists.
I had a makeover once at Henri Bendel’s in NYC by a Laura Mercier MU artist once — that’s about as close as I’ve come to a beauty event!

I’ve only been to a Dillard’s trend show and an event with a Giorgio Armani makeup artist.
I wish I could say that I have been to a makeup event, but I can’t. I would love to go to a MAC one though.

I’ve gotten invitations to events but they’re always for cities I’ve lived in in the past. I don’t think where I live really has that much of a makeup community so I’m not sure that I’ll ever get invited to one here. Hopefully I’ll make it to one someday, though!
I’ve been to Sephora events. I LOVE SEPHORA!!! I just love BareMinerals, Yves Saint Laurent, Nars & so much more.I also learned about the new TokiDoki line. I was also told about the cosmetics that would match my skin color. It was a bit congested but whatever. They also have giveaways and everything. It was so much fun. For my birthday, we’re having a cosmetic party, but I can’t tell you about it since it hasn’t happened yet.
I went to a Dior one where I absolutely hated the make-up artist. There’s only three main ones who came to the city but I kept wondering all the way up to my appointment why his name was familiar and…yep turns out it was the extremely pushy, snob. Most unpleasant, especially when I asked about doing a smokey eyes look. I remembered his name for next time and specifically asked not for him. To be fair, I don’t think he liked me much either.
However the next time, the woman was awesome. She took the time to explain a couple tricks to doing smokey eyes and wow. I keep her advice in mind each time.

I’ve been to a few Mac events, and I hate them because I find that the MUA are so snobby, I don’t even get that vibe from MUA in Dior and other higher end brands.
I once had a makeover by a Lancome artist and after the makeover they took a picture & gave one to everyone who participated so they could remember their individual makeover.
I went for a makeover by Shiseido Majolica Majorca once and exchanged tips with my MUA. It was a great experience though I wasn’t too impressed with my look.
I did enjoy the freebies they gave though. =)
I went to get my hair cut at a local Aveda salon and got a free makeover once. Getting full makeup done by a makeup artist for the first time in my life was a wonderful experience (wish there were more opportunities)!
Still no parties.
The only makeup’s event I have attended was a course of MAC. I had fun and learned well what are the colors that I favor. I will repeat for sure!

I attended a mark party once when I was about 13.. I was an awkward girl and didnt even wear makeup.. I was more tomboyish back then I guess. Well, one of the MUAs decided to use me as a “model” and put makeup on me.. WOW… it was then i fell in love with putting makeup on and how much it boosts self esteem <3 Ah… btw i <3 BAWLS

I went to an event at sephora for smashbox where they made you over and than a photographer took headshots of you all dolled up. It was fun to feel glamorous in the middle of the week!
There was a DiorShow makeup event at my local Sephora where MAs came in and did makeovers using Dior makeup. What a fun treat

In Canada at a drugstore called “Shoppers Drugmart” they have gala nights where a number of different makeup companies come in and do your makeup. They have free gifts and bonus buys…its so much fun

I went to the MAC holiday collection preview event last year, and I LOVED it. It was crowded and busy, but SO MUCH FUN! They had food (little bite-size snacks…very fancy, with some cute waiters…), and drinks (alcoholic ones, even) and the food was delicious! I’m so glad I went, I got to B2M for some of the new cremesheen glasses…I will definitely go to any event I can!
