Giveaway: MAC To The Beach

To the Beach releases this week (swatches are here and here because I didn’t get all of the enormous collection done in one day).  Fittingly, the weather in Dallas has also gotten quite tropical, so this week, I’m giving away a brand new Bronze Body Oil and Weekend Cream Bronzer.

Here’s how it works:

  • This giveaway starts today and ends Sunday, May 30, at midnight.
  • You can enter once per day. (If you enter more than once per day, only the first entry will be counted.)
  • This giveaway is open to readers anywhere in the world.
  • A winner will be selected at random from the valid entries.
  • To enter, leave a comment on this post, and please tell me a great priming product. Primer for lids, undereye, lips, face — I’m just looking for some good new ones to try, so tell me what it is, where you use it, and what it does for you.

Winners will be contacted by email, so please use an email address you check (addresses will be hidden, and will not be used for any purpose other than contacting the winner).

Good luck!

I use the Mac paint pot in Soft Ocre as a primer for my eyes. It evens out my eye lid color and preps my eyes for shadow. Love it!

eos lip balm is a good lip primer!

  • carmen says:

I have a super-oily T-zone and I use the Shiseido sunscreen lotion as a primer; it keeps oilies at bay for quite a while :) .

    mac prep+prime lips :)

  • Julissa says:

MAC paint pot in bare study, it’s perfect for so many looks, it gives a satin finish to eyeshadows it’s not chunky glitter.

I love Fresh’s primer. No silicone.

  • Marisol24 says:

I use Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. This one might be known to most lol, but it is still a favorite of mine. It prevents my shadows from creasing, and making lines on my eyelids. :)

  • Georgia says:

I don’t use face primers or eyeshadow primers, but I do have problems with my eyeliner runnning/smudging, so I use a dry cream eyeshadow called superwear cream shadow in butter pecan. It has virtually eliminated my racoon eyes. It’s some kind of generic cream shadow that is privately labeled and resold. It works very well to prevent my eyeliner from running/smudging under my lashes. I apply it with a concealer brush just on my lower lash line and then use my eyeliner as normal and set it with shadow. The cheapest place I found it was at shopunbranded.com.

  • SalPal says:

I love Mary Kay’s Age Fighting Lip Primer and Mary Kay’s Oil mattifier is the most amazing thing I’ve ever used to control “shinies” through the day!

  • lexi Jadoff says:

I like primer potion and paint pots for eyes. I swear by the illamasqua matte primer for face, but actually, the new loreal studio secrets primer is pretty baller!

  • Christina C says:

I like to use MAC soft ochre as a base for my eyeshadows.

monistat chaffing relief powder gel really is an amazing face primer. Didn’t believe it until I tried it. Same as Smashbox for less than $10. Win! :)

  • Hofken says:

Urban Decay Primer Potion is great for eyes

  • suzannec says:

    Clinique City Block spf25

  • Nadine says:

Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy is amazing for (1) creating a foiled finish without messing with wetting eyeshadow, and (2) gluing chunky glitter — like in Urban Decay shadows — in place and preventing fallout. Use it on top of your usual primer for stunning results.

  • Devin says:

I love MAC’s paint in the tube! It has been a staple of mine for many years. It is creamy, but dries down so that my eyeshadow lasts for 16 to 18 hours or more. It doesn’t really help the colors pop, but it gives them serious longevity! Just apply half a pea sized amount, which is good enough for both eyes and then apply your shadow.

  • clover says:

I use O’slee Lip Balm Total Solution as a primer for my lips. It makes my lips super smooth and makes applying lipstick a breeze. I can’t completely justify it, but I’m pretty sure my lipstick lasts much longer too when I use this underneath! It’s cheap too :]

  • Cathy Sears says:

I love smashbox’s origianl foundation primer. I’ve been using it for years and it makes my large pores vanish!

  • Eve says:

I like UDPP because it makes shadows stay well

  • jasmine says:

Smashbox’s original primer is still the best!

  • loulouthi says:

mac prep & prime is my favourite primer for face

  • Lisa says:

I really like TFSI or MAC Paint Pots (especially painterly) for priming!

  • Dila says:

I use MAc PAint Pots , I use and like all the colors but in my opinion Soft Ochre is the best primer for eyes… sometimes I use it for my undereye if I dont have any concealer..

  • Benjamin says:

A great priming product for face: Make Up For Ever HD primer in 0 and its great because it makes my foundation last the whole day and doesn’t cause blemishes on me. Eyes: Stay don’t stray by Benefit its great for priming the eyelids and under your eyes for concealer for crease less wear around your eyes.

  • Angelica says:

For my eyes i use UDPP. I haven’t used any face primers yet, so far i find that my sunblock does the trick. But i am interested in trying that new L’oreal studio secrets primer (some say it’s as good as Instant smooth by Clarins)

  • natty says:

D’finer F’liner from Benefit for lips keeps my lipstick in place :)

  • Saku says:

For something cheap, but you would of never thought of using it that way. Monistat gel, it works.

i love Benefits lip plump as a primer for lips, brings out the true colour of glosses and lippys, also works well to mute naturally pigmented lips.
