Sneak Peek: Chanel Holiday, color

Chanel, holiday, 2010, colorIn addition to the limited edition gift sets, Chanel has a holiday color collection. Let’s talk about the new items — they’re all limited edition.

There’s a new shade of Les Tissages blush: Tweed Fuchsia ($45, here are the original four shades). There’s also a new fuchsia nail polish called Pulsion. Mica Rose is being repromoted with this collection, and I’m pretty sure that’s the shade they’ve used in the promo image.

There’s a new eyeshadow quad of the round-pan variety: Tentation Cuivre.  It’s $56, and the shades are copper brown, light beige, shimmering pink, and plum copper.

There’s also a new Fluid Iridescent eyeshadow: Splash, a smoky pewter.  ”Pewter” is a mix of gold and silver (a warm-cool mix, sort of like a metallic version of taupe. This may not be what the Chanel shadow looks like, but here was Bobbi’s pewter shadow from last year’s holiday collection).  Anyway Splash sounds utterly delightful.  It will be $32.

There are two new, limited edition Rouge Coco shades ($30): Magnolia, a soft pink, and Patchouli, which is copper.  There are also a few new glossimers ($27): Charming (iridescent pink), Pink Pulsion (sheer fuchsia), and Pleasing (golden brown).

As with the holiday gift sets, I’d expect this collection to be on-counter in October.

Chanel’s collections just keep getting more and more beautiful. I’ve already purchased several items from the fall Enigma collection and love each and every one of them. Now I’ll have to start saving for the holiday collection. Fuchsia, copper, and pewter–sounds absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the sneak peek. You’ve whetted my desire for another great collection.

  • Uh oh, better start saving my $$$

I am so relieved that I have managed to cure my makeup addiction years ago because I actually love and cherish my Chanel makeup to this day – I must say they have a lot of products that are worth the price.

As a hopeless nail polish addict though I am quite relieved that there are no “special” nail colors to go gaga over this Holiday season for Chanel. More moolah for other brands’ holiday collections!

    Thanks for the wonderful preview.
