Sneak Peek: Lancome Fall

Lancome, fall, 2010, French Coquettes, promoLancome’s fall promo pic is totally breathtaking. I am transfixed. Is it their eyes? Is it their lips? Anyway, I love it.

The “theme” is French Coquettes, modern women around the turn of the 20th century. I know you’re not surprised to see smokier eyes for fall, but I also really appreciate the choice of lip colors.

With the exception of one piece (which I’ll get to in a minute), the collection is available online now, and should be on counters in August.

Lancome, Rose Deco, fall, 2010Of the new pieces in the collection, the star is arguably the limited edition Rose Deco powder (I have a weakness for Lancome’s LE powders).  It’s a rosewood-and-pink-glow all-over face powder, but can be used as a blush if you dabble your brush only on the embossed rose. It’s $40.

There’s also a new, limited edition eyeshadow quad.  It’s called French Touch, it’s $42, and it seems to focus on pinks and purples. The website describes the quad as “Sensational Effects,” promising a “micro-aired powder formula [combining] supreme smoothness and blendability with long wear.” Is Sensational Effects a new powder formula for Lancome?

There are two new Artliners (Lancome’s widely beloved felt-tip eyeliner marker, $29): Plum Glimmer and Sparkling Noir.

Lancome, Ombre MagnetiqueThen there’s the not-yet-available Ombre Magnétique ($25). This is a “spectacular sparkle,” long-wear, crease-resistant eyeshadow. My Lancome folks are extremely excited about these, but they won’t be available until August 15th. (I’ve been told it would be worth it to get on the waiting list.)  They’ll come in three shades: Cherry Cherie, Urban Silver (which I think is at the inner corner of the eye on the two models), and Black Macadam.

There are three new L’Absolu Rouge lipsticks (a divine formula, if you’ve never tried it): Rose Divine, Parisian Attraction, and Cherry Kiki. These are $29, contain Lancome’s moisturizing ingredient Pro-Xylane, offer SPF 12, smell like roses, and feel amazing. I think Daria Werbowy (on the left) is wearing Rose Divine, and I’m really looking forward to trying on that shade.

There are four new La Laque Fever glosses ($26.50): Sensation, Plum Fetish, Rouge Temptress, and Sweet Nude.

Lancome, Kissed by Paris, nail trioAnd finally, there’s a nail polish trio. Not only are the three shades new, but this is the first time Lancome has offered a trio of minis like this.  The shades don’t seem to have individual names, but it looks like there’s a sexy creme berry-red, a pearlescent pink-and-gold, and a shimmery/frosty burgundy/berry with silver sparkles.

Just got the quad and rose deco powder in the mail today. The deco powder is so pretty I almost don’t want to touch it. Can’t wait to try the ombre magnetique shadows.

i want pics of the quad! Sometimes i think it’s a shame that Lancome doesn’t get as much love as it deserves.

It’s already on my Macy’s counter :) Got the nail polish today – names are Sweet Nude (same as l/g), Parisian Attraction (same as the l/s), and Plum Fetish(same as l/g). I saw testers for three powder e/s in the same names as the Ombre Magnetique – is it possible the pots are only in certain stores?

Great info on the nail polish names!

And as for the eyeshadows, were they a familiar formula or something new? “Color Design” or “Ombre Magnetique”?

Lancome sometime uses the same name on two different formulas. They used the most popular Color Design and L’Absolu Rouge lipstick shades to create the Creme de Brilliance glosses, so those products share names.

I really like Lancome eyeshadows. Was at Belk one evening and went over to the Lancome counter. These were very nice shadows. Don’t see many reviews or tutorials with Lancome shadows though.
