I literally ran to my local Sephora this weekend to check out Make Up For Ever’s newest lipstick formula: Rouge Artist Intense. The 50 shades range from nudes, pinks, and reds to purple, black, gold, and neon orange.
The formula is long-wearing, and comes in three finishes. I would have liked to swatch by finish, but for efficiency I swatched in groups of 10. The matte shades are 1-8, and they are… like crayons for your lips (in a good way).
There’s a state-change as you change finishes. The “pearly” shades (9-21) are frosty/shimmery and have a lot more slip to them. The “satin” shades (22-50) are creme finish (and I think they might be my favorites).
Rouge Artist Intense lipsticks are $19 each, and they smell like Lancome’s L’Absolu Rouge (roses? I love it because I already love L’Absolu Rouge).

5, 6, 9, and 10 look very pretty.
I’m really looking forward to those, they look amazing. Thanks for the swatches, I’m looking forward to the rest.
9 looks like the perfect blue fuchsia that Im quickly becoming VERY obsessed with! Can’t wait to see more of these- but I am a bit bummed about the rose scent, Lancome’s always made me a bit nauseous.
I love that you ran to your Sephora to swatch these. I’m liking 3 and 7 so far!
These look lovely…can’t wait to see the satin finish shades.
i love d shade of no. 5.. i will purchase this..
