There’s been an explosion of lash enhancing products on the market, and this week’s prize is Talika Lipocils Expert ($55).
Talika has been an eye brand since 1948. Their first product was a salve for burn victims… which reportedly had the side effect of regrowing eyelashes. That original formula is the basis of all of Talika’s “regrowth” products.
Lipocils Expert promises to lengthen your lashes by up to 36%, darken them up to 50%, and curl them by up to 50% (how does one measure a percentage increase in curl?).
The applicator is a mascara spoolie topped by a doe’s foot wand (so you can apply the formula at the base of your lashes, and comb through to condition them. The product should be applied twice a day for at least 28 days.

I’m using Aveda hand relief (hand cream) at least once per day.
My skin tends to become even drier and more sensitiv, so the first changes happen in terms of skincare.
Hey guys, as soon as I put this giveaway up, I realized I had another question I was even more curious about than the “seasonal change” question (we’ll save that one for another week). But if you’ve already entered for today with a “seasonal change” answer, your entry will still count.
Hi Karla,
I have tried the original Lipocils and liked it.
Now I have Dior Maximizer, I heard raves about it so I purchased it.
And in the past I liked EL Lash Primer Plus.
No interest in Latisse or any of those scary enhancers.
xxx
I haven’t used any but would love to try one
I haven’t tried any lash enhancers, and I most want to try talika.
I tried the l’oreal one and wasn’t too impressed. I’d love to try Lilash but I’m too scared of the side effects…
I’ve actually tried the Talika, and I really liked it. It made my lashes very soft and glossy.
I haven’t used any of them yet, but I would really like to.
Yes, I’ve tried a Korean brand (I can’t recall the name). It made my lashes noticeably thicker, so I believe the lash serums work!
I started using the original Talika Lipocils day and night a few months ago, and have started using also using StimuLashFusion Intensive Night Conditioning Lash Enhancer at night. Im getting great results. After years of wearing mascara, it was noticable that my lashes were not very full after removing my mascara. I used to literally see lashes on my make up remover wipe and decided I needed something. I would never wear mascara without first applying Lipocils! Also, since you asked, theres a Peter Thomas Roth lash treatment which I’ve always wanted to try, but it’s just so expensive.
I haven’t tried any
I’ve tried Talika Lipocils, tried Mavala Double Lash as well. Both products showed results on my lashes. I have been using either Talika or Mavala for 4 years, and will keep using them. At the moment I am almost done with the tube of L’Oreal’s Lash Serum, nice results also. All of them really condition my lashes, and make them stronger and longer. However, when it comes to purchasing again, Talika or Double Lash would be my choice.
I haven’t tried any of them. But I should because that’s what I’d need for my thin and straight lashes. :p
I’ve been using Hypnôse Precious Cells and noticed a great improvement in my lashes. They look thicker and longer!
I’ve been using Lashem for 6 weeks and I don’t see any results =x
I haven’t tried any lash enhancers but I want to try the L’Oreal Lash Serum.
I’ve tried the Loreal and it didn’t work for me.
A friend of mine used Neulash, and she has been photo-documenting a difference and after 2 months I can definitely see a change! She noted a stain along her lashline, though.
I haven’t tried any lash enhancers so far but I would like to try L’Oreal Lash Serum, because of the price.
Haven’t tried any – Love to
I haven’t tried one as yet but my friend is loving the L’Oreal one.
i heard a lot about two kinds: Lilash and Latisse. It’s probably because of the heavy marketing, but that’s what people are talking about. Apparently there is another good one you can get by prescription only. Im not sure the name but im sure the pharmacy could tell you.
The only thing I have tried on my lashes is vaseline! I would like to think its doing something, perhaps making them stronger because they do appear to be looking slightly better than before, but its definitely no dramatic change like lilash would do!
Haven’t tried any yet, they are too expensive… but would love to try talika coz i’ve heard good things about it.
I think I have tried every non prescription lash enhancer product-from Revitalash, Lilash, L’oreal (I’ve never tried Talika though). Lilash is the only one that made a difference in my lash length. I now use Careprost (generic Latisse) and my eyelashes are crazy long but I’ve noticed major darkerning under my eyes since I’ve started using it.
I’ve tried Mavala Double Lash on and off for years and believe my lashes are stronger and less likely to fall out when removing mascara when I use Double Lash.
I started to try the Loreal lash stuff, but didn’t really stick with it, I have tried rapid lash, and I do believe that it really does work!! Unfortunately I can’t afford to replace it right now, so this win would be wonderful!!!
Thanks so much for the opportunity to win!!
Unfortunately I haven’t tried any.
i have yet to try any of the lash enhancing products on the market, but i’d love to try this one!
I haven’t tried any lash enhancing products yet, but I’d love to try this. I just started trying the “natural remedy” of applying castor oil to the lashes at bedtime. I figured it was worth a shot…it’s way too early to tell if it’s working though!
No, I have not tried any lash enhancers, but
certainly could use a lot of help in this area.
My lashes are a light brown and with no length
to them at all! One brand I have especially considered is Peter Thomas Roth’s Lashes to Die For. Many thanks, Cindi
I’ve wanted to try a lot of the more expensive ones that you see in commercials but as a current substitute I use EVOO and it conditions and lengthens – I need more volume tho!
I have tried RapidLash. It works, as long as I use it every night. But I hesitate to use it on a long period, because it tends to irritate my eyes.
I would love to try Talika Lipocils. I read lots of great comments on it!
I’ve tried the LOreal Lash Boosting Serum. It worked for a while, and then… nothing.
I’m not sure if I got too used to the serum or what.
I’d love to try a different one though, as I LOVED the results from the L’oreal (that only lasted about a month). *weeps*
Actually I do have TWO Talika Eyelashes and I love ‘em! They do work little by little. It’s awesome!! I even bought one for my mom!
I haven’t tried any of them, mostly because the ones that seem to work are (a) prescription and (b) have side effects that scare me off. If this works, it would rock my socks!
I’ve tried Ardell before and noticed slightly stronger lashes but not as major results I’ve heard about Talika.
I haven’t tried any so far, but I’ve been eyeing (pun, haha
) the L’Oreal one for some time now.
Truth is, my lashes are pretty long and curly, so usually just aplying mascara gives me my desired effect.
I have however used the double ended mascara’s, though those are more of primers infused with ceramide I think…? Those work well for me, I see the differance.
I tend to use some vasoline on my eyelashes for a short time occasinally. Just don’t get it too near your eyes!
I keep thinking about trying one, but I haven’t yet.
I haven tried any would love to try this one as i have very short lashes this would be awesome
I am currently using the L’Oreal lash boosting serum. It doesn’t lengthen my lashes, but it does curl and strengthen them.
I am using L’Oreal’s serum, which is more of a conditioner than a growth product. I’ve also been trying on Revlon’s grow luscious mascara and I definitely have less fall out when removing it but I’m not sure it’s all it’s promised to be.
No, I haven’t tried any of them.
I havent tried any of them but i’m hearing great stuff about Lilash!
I have tried L’Oreal’s Lash Boosting Serum. I actually liked it alot. (the mascara not so much, flaked on me!) I did see some growth and my lashes were a wee bit curlier, yay!
LOVE TO WIN FOR MY WIFE
I haven’t tried any, actually. But I’ve always wanted to.
I’ve used Talika Lipocils – it’s reasonably priced.
I haven’t tried any because the ones that work cost so much!!
I haven’t tried any yet -but I would love to – my lashes are blonde and I would love to see the effect!
