Well readers, Urban Decay’s Naked palette has been an “it” item… basically from the moment it was released. And its perpetual sold out status has kept me from giving one away. But since it’s a permanent item, it’s going to be back in stock sooner or later — so my plan for this week is to hold the giveaway like normal, and then purchase and mail off the prize as soon as that’s possible.
Rules and how to enter:
- This giveaway starts today and ends Sunday, September 12, at midnight.
- This giveaway is open to readers anywhere in the world, and a winner will be selected at random from the valid entries.
- To enter, leave a comment on this post. Describe your “naked” makeup look.
- You may enter by this method once per day.
- Winners will be contacted by email, so please use an email address you check (addresses will be hidden, and will not be used for any purpose other than contacting the winner).
Good luck!

Well, a better naked look than I often do would be mineral foundation, Zero eyeliner (slightly winged), mascara, and a neutralish lipstick (even though it’s far more likely for me to go dark).
My naked look is tinted moisturizer, winged eyeliner, a pop of color on the apples of the cheek with MAC’s peaches blush, and clear lip gloss.
My naked look is using aveeno moisturizer and benefit concealer under my eyes. Then I put on lip balm with my Loreal Fairest Nude lipstick.
foundation, concealer, eyeliner, mascara, powder, blush and lip gloss
Mac select cover up concealer, Benefit Posietint, a nude eyeshadow, brown mascara, Body Shop Born Lippy strawberry lipbalm.
Still feeling sickly, so I’m not wearing anything yet, but if I do end up having to go out of the house to meet people, then I’ll wear Clinique’s Tinted Mositurizer (i love the consistency, but hate how limited the shades are. Blonde, the fairest of 3 is just so dark on me, so I use it only when I have a tan and even then, very sparingly), Naked pigment as a wash and some brown mascara (MAxFactor False Lash Effect). I’ll probably end up wearing Bronze Goddess blush-bronzer, since it serves as both and I love the effect on me.
just using powder
Laura Mercier, Tinted moisturizer
Liquid liner
Taupe shadow
Velvet Teddy MAC lipstick
Good luck everyone!
“naked” look would also mean a more natural lips too. I guess naked to me means it looks like you’re not wearing any mu, or just enough to define. best if it looks like you’re wearing nothing, but in my case my eyes are so small that’d be impossible to do lol.
so for lips I like the “mlbb” shades, but preferably sheer and only slightly shiny. Fave? Def the Korres Mango l/s. #22 Antique Rose is one of my fave, goes on smoothly with a medium to high shine, but not in a glossy “omg she got a ton of goopy gloss on” kinda shine. They don’t last super long though, but still gives at least an hour (if i’m drinking) or two (w/o drinking/eating) of natural shine. they don’t gunk up on my lips, and are so smooth and moisturizing that i actually love reapplying XD
sorta expensive though, $22?$20? ish for one tube, and with the frequent reapplication, gets used up probably faster than other l/s. I got my #22 from Sephora when it was $8. I also ordered the 4 l/s set from Korres the other day in Natural Brown (a warm rosy shade with a bit of brown and slight shimmer, reminds me of a slightly sheerer and glossier Revlon CB in Rosy Nude), Orange Brown, Orange Red, and Natural Purple i think. Let me just say that all four shades are quite wearable, and Korres’ online swatches stink, so never go by those swatches when purchasing. XD
Prescriptives flawless moisturizer in yellow orange, origins chuby stick in a light brown color, eyeliner
Mascara + lipgloss
MAC mineral skin finish. MAC bisque eye shadow. And, MAC c-thru lipgloss.
Hmmmmm….
Pretige brown liner applied from thinly and close to lash line and clear mascara.
Baby pink lip stain.
EDM foundation/concealer, NYC sunny bronzer, MAC Dainty, carmex
I would say that my “naked” look would be NARS Belle de Jour lipstick. MAC studio fix fluid in NC 30 mixed with my creme de la mere moisturizer. Then, I put on Bobbi Brown EXTREME party mascara.
My naked makeup look consists of clean skin, lip gloss and curled eyelashes.
Powdered skin, filled brows, YSL Gloss Pur Watermelon.
My naked look would be tinted moisturizer, neutral to light brown eyeshadow, thin eyeliner, sheer pink gold lipgloss, and MAC shell pearl beauty powder.
Well, I always try to go for a naked look. I put on sunscreen, use FD lightly, and then put on Physicians Formula SPF50 powder. I then put on a light blush and lipstick. I use brown eyeliner and mascara.
This is where it gets hard for me. Ya see…I absolutely love eyeshadow. I try to go neutral but always end up with a little ompf. I generally have a smokey look. The UD naked palette looks like it will be even more enticing since it has such an array of colors. I consider it dramatic neutral….
Naked look= Clear mascara on brows and lashes+ clear lipgloss+ fix it powder by MAC
My naked look consist of——-> Sunscreen, lipbalm(NYC Sugarkiss), and China Berry blushstick by Lancome.
My naked make-up look starts with Elizabeth Ardens sponge-on cream make-up, just a tad of it in the T-zone blended out. And a slightly thicker layer under the eyes, fastened with Laura Mercier’s secret brightening powder. The T-zone is set with loose powder from Rimmel. Then I do my brows with Elizabeth Ardens dual perfection brow powder in Brunette. Then some slight contouring is done with an old dark bronzer from Helena Rubinstein. If it’s not a supernatural look, I will curl my lashes with my Shu Uemura curler and add mascara. Right now it’s The Body Shop divide & multiply.
My naked makeup look would be some light powder, a little eyeliner and mascara, and vaseline on the lips.
my naked look is nothing on the eyes except mac superslick eyeliner in defiantly feline, a mineral foundation, and a glossy my lips but better lipstick.
Some MSF natural, chapstick, and some carbon eyeshadow in the lashline.
tinted moisturizer
bronzer
urban decay virgin e/s, Mac bloodline pigment
paul&joe lipstick
My naked look would mostly consist of Giorgio Armani items, since they’re superbly subtle (when they want to be anyway).
I absolutely love their face fabric; never found anything that felt so silky and soft!
I would use the face fabric to even out the tone of my skin and freshen up the look generally.
I would need to turn to Shu Uemura Mark Cealer to brighten my dark circles though.
Maybe a very gentle line very close to the lashes just to make my eyes look clear (Armani pencil #2).
Would probably opt for Armani’s Lip Shimmer #1 just to add the soft peachy look to my lips.
‘Naked’ beauty means so much more to me than just barely-there makeup which imitates my natural tones; naked beauty to me is about embracing what I am both on the inside and outside and putting forward a face (and attitude) which represents the true me.
My naked looks consists of light dustings of mineral makeup to even out (but not cover up) my skin, thin dark eyeliner to enhance but not disguise the windows to my soul, a touch of mauve blush to reflect my inner warmth, and a trusted lipbalm to reapply throughout the day so that I can talk as I want without having to worry about how my lipcolour might look.
My naked look consists of neutrals and tans with brown eyeliner and black mascara.
I use concealer, powder, blush and a peachy lipgloss.
I like matte browns and peach gloss
I pay special attention to my eyelashes and finish off with a rosy lip stain!
Oil-blotting papers are a must for my “naked” look.
Groomed brows, mascara, and a glossy lip balm!
My naked look:
- black e/l on my waterline, upper lid, & b/t my lashes
- Urban Decay Sin as a wash on my lid
- Max Factor Volume Couture mascara
My naked look — tinted moisturizer, mascara, and peachy pink gloss!
LM illuminating tinted moisturizer
MAC Powersurge eyeliner
NARS luster
GA eyes to kill mascara
MAC laugh-a-lot
Naked look:
Urban decay shimmering potion
MAC pressed powder
NYC blushapple in Plaza Pink
Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 moisturizer plus a touch of foundation
MAC fast response eye cream
Bobbi brown eye shadow in shell
The Body Shop lash and brow gel
Smashbox o-glow intuitive cheek colour
Nars lipgloss in turkish delight
Hm…one other nude look would be brows groomed (I don’t do that often enough…) with a matte highlighter in the inner corners and browbone, and that’s all–I know I should probably use a shimmery one but I kinda like the matte ones that blend right in with my skin.
Just black mascara and eyeliner, pinkish brown blush, semi-matte skin, and brown-pink lipgloss.
