Another Venomous Villains Giveaway

I suspect that many of you may still have unfulfilled Venomous Villains wishes, so I thought I’d offer a second VV giveaway.

This week’s prize is all three VV nail polishes: Formidable!, Bad Fairy, and Mean & Green, plus eyeshadows in Vile Violet and Her Alter Image.

Rules and how to enter:

  • This giveaway starts today and ends Sunday, October 10, at midnight.
  • This giveaway is open to readers anywhere in the world.
  • A winner will be selected at random from the valid entries.
  • To enter, leave a comment on this post. Since it’s October (and so many companies and organizations, from yogurt to cosmetics to bakewear to the NFL, participate in breast cancer awareness, tell me about your favorite BCA program. Which one seems the most effective/creative/makes you feel good about participating? You can have more than one answer, but you can only enter once per day.
  • Winners will be contacted by email, so please use an email address you check (addresses will be hidden, and will not be used for any purpose other than contacting the winner).

Good luck!

    Susan G Komen

  • Amber says:

Avon actually does a great job with breast cancer awareness and all throughout the year not only in October.

  • Bee says:

I like how some cosmetic and skincare companies make special items for Breast Cancer Awareness month. It really shows that they care to help find a cure and support it all.

  • Silvia says:

Breast cancer awareness campaigns are not so widely spread in my country. From the top of my head here we have Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. Kitchenaid’s seems to be interesting because I love food and cooking.
Thanks once again for the contest.

  • Christine says:

I love that even something as simple as my shower gel I use (Philosophy) has a shower for a cure product. It’s simple products like this, which 100% goes to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

  • Monica says:

pink ribbon is a definite recognizable symbol of BC

  • Brenda says:

I like Marlies Dekkers’ Pink Ribbon collection!

  • hofken says:

Another favorite BCA program is Essie Yes We Can, Pink! Breast Cancer Awareness Nail Polish. A portion of sales donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer

  • Tina says:

I feel good when I can buy a product and know that the proceeds are going to a good cause. I make it a point to buy toilet paper, tissues, body wash, etc. with the BC logo on them. This week I ran out to buy bottled water. I didn’t know which brand to buy, they all had similar prices. I bought the brand with the BC logo. I bought something I needed for my household and I can help another in the process.

  • Shannon says:

Philosophy’s shower gel that goes 100% toward donation is really great. I mean it’s one thing to be glad that SOME of the money goes toward breast cancer research, isn’t it much better that ALL of it goes?

  • Melissa says:

    Susan G. Komen

  • Kookiez72 says:

    Pink Ribbon for sure

  • Camille says:

The CIBC Run for the Cure.

  • Christina says:

I like the pink ribbon shimmer brick from bobbi brown.

  • Jess says:

I like the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, because I was able to do a 5k run/walk with my aunt who survived breast cancer.

  • dana h. says:

    Polo’s pink pony campaign.

  • Imogen says:

My favourite is one that is happening today. A huge national department store chain (probably the biggest in Australia) called David Jones is donating 100% of ALL profits from sales today to BCA! Amazing. Now, what do I need to buy… :-)

  • Kim Smith says:

New Balance will donate 5% of SRP of Lace Up For the Cure Items to the cause, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $500,000.

  • Crystal says:

I think it is great when brands like Yoplait participate in breast cancer awareness all year round.

I’ll have to say Yoplait. Their cause is ongoing.

pink ribbons or even pink bracelets to make to make people ask so that you can start talking about bca to make other people aware!

  • Mia says:

I love that so many cosmetic companies have Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns to raise awareness. Too many women still die unnecessarily.

  • Ter G. says:

Another great one with 100% proceeds going to BCRF is elf’s Pageant Princess Mineral lip gloss. All of the $3 cost is donated.

  • Chrissie says:

Pink Ribbon Shimmer Brick from Bobbi Brown!

  • Ju says:

I don’t like BCA program or any kind of program like that. I prefer give money without advantage on “Médecins Sans Frontière” or for “Cancer Research”. I only like the 100% proceeds, but again, if the product made in China, the conditions of work are not good so, it’s better to give money on a ONG.

  • Eliza says:

Bobbi brown has a pink ribbon shimmer brick if i’m not wrong! love it! :)

  • dana h. says:

    Yoplait, love the pink tops.

  • Amber says:

I’m a big fan of OPI’s BCA campaign and their pink for the cure products.

  • Anitacska says:

Tried to post earlier, not sure if it’s worked, so sorry for double post if it did.

Clinique has a pink gloss trio out this year for BCA.

  • I love the facebook status answers to “Where do you like your purse” and everyone answers it. It is fun and eye catching!

  • Shannon says:

I SORT of like the Cup Of Hope one that the company behind Activia is doing. At first I was annoyed because it said I have to input a code onto their site (code is on the yogurt cup’s lid) and that they’re only donating 10cents per lid! >.< But then i read it in detail and they're donating at least 500,000 minimum so i guess even if no one input the cup codes they'd donate at least that much, so that's good. but i was annoyed tho, because who's going to keep the lids for longer than the cup itself? I wanted to toss it so bad but stopped myself so I could put in the codes, but like, I LICKED it! x___x

  • Ale says:

Avon does a lot too. They raise funds, sponsor events and more :)

  • PJ says:

Yes, everywhere we go we see the big franchises supporting this worthy cause. However, what stand out to me are the small “mom and pop” type shops that want to lend a hand. My favorite and local business is, Essential Chocolate, based out of Culver City. Currently .50 per purchase of a decked out cupcake will be donated to “breast cancer charities”. I love me some cupcakes!!!!!
