About the same time Laura Mercier came out with her new Creme Smooth Foundation, she also released a new mascara: Full Blown Volume. I haven’t tried it, but one of the sales associates did tell me about it, so I thought I might as well pass on what I’d learned.
Full Blown Volume (Lash Building Mascara) is supposed to be a buildable, thickening mascara that won’t get clumpy — even if you add more later in the day. It’s said to be impressively black, but it also contains mica for shine.
The thickening agent is cotton powder (not fibers, which can weigh lashes down and/or flake). The cotton powder sculpts the lash, and helps it maintain its curl. The formula also contains palm oil, to condition the lash.
Full Blown Volume is $24.
I do love a volumizing mascara… Â has anyone tried this yet? Â What did you think?

Color me intrigued. I think I now know what my holiday-makeup-treat for myself might be…
oh boy! sounds impressive,i wanna try this one esp after my not so great experience with the much talked lancome one !
Karla,
I love this mascara–I did a review last spring and was really impressed–it’s reasonable for a high-end mascara too.
This is an awesome mascara. I like it better than my YSL faux cils.
I tried this mascara a few months ago. It was decent- it definitely didn’t clump at all. But I don’t know about the claims to be a buildable, thickening mascara- for me it was more like a thin, defining mascara. Definitely no additional volume, but it blackened and separated each lash nicely.
I had the same experience as Mimi. Full Blown Volume it was not. It darkened and separated, but no dramatic volume or length like it claims. I call it my lashes but better mascara.
