Saks Fifth Avenue (the Galleria location in Dallas) is having a MAJOR beauty event all day Thursday (December 9), and I’m going to be there! Not shopping (well, maybe a little shopping), but swatching. Call it performance art.
The event is called Brushes with Greatness (and it overlaps with the Saks Spend-Some-Get-Some gift card event). Plus, spend $200 at the event, and you’ll get a free pashmina.
There will be gift basket giveaway drawings every hour from 11-3 and 6-8 (the noon prize is a SKII facial. The 1 pm prize is a La Prairie facial! Can you make it there on your lunch break?!)
From 4-7 you can meet Victoria Snee, Mix 102.9 DJ and author of The Beauty Buzz. From 11-8 Swarovski Crystal artist Natalee Ridenhour will be there to custom bejewel fragrance bottles — free with any fragrance purchase. I’m planning to be there from 4-8.
There’s something going on at EVERY counter. Most of the brands will have national artist teams and special gifts with consultation. La Prairie is offering 30-minute Microdermabrasion sessions (call 972-716-5163 to make an appointment); Chanel is doing 20-minute facials (call 972-716-5249 to make an appointment).
