Sneak Peek: Viva Glam Gaga (Redux!)

MAC, Viva Glam, Lady Gaga, 2011, promoAs you may have heard, MAC just officially announced that next year’s Viva Glam spokesperson will be… Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper partnered up for Viva Glam in 2010, each creating a limited edition lipstick and gloss (the lipsticks were meant available for one year; the glosses for six months, so both should be available through February 2011).

The Gaga-Lauper campaign was the most successful in Viva Glam history. Every penny of the selling price of any Viva Glam product goes to charity, and the program has raised more than $190 million for AIDS charities since its founding in 1994.

I have no idea what the new shade will look like, but Lady Gaga looks positively angelic in the promo photo, so I have high hopes that I’ll love her new lipstick.

I actually think this lipstick might be darker than it looks, given how overexposed the photo is. I guess we’ll find out soon enough!

Maybe in February, when last year’s colors are being phased out?

I asked at the MAC counter, and I think that they said the 2nd or the 10th of February.
