I can always count on Soaper1 to keep me informed of important events in the world of nail polish. Knockout Cosmetics is a new-to-me brand, but when Soaper1 sent swatches, I was intrigued by their all-matte aesthetic. The finish of her nails is so appealingly West Elm/Pottery Barn, don’t you think? Here’s her review:
I’ve wanted to try Knockout polishes for at least two years, but the price tag always stood in my way (they retail for $19 each, available at koknockout.com and other etailers). Late last year, I purchased a Beauty.com gift certificate through tada.com — a $30 certificate for $15 — and Beauty.com carries Knockout. Time to pull the trigger!
Liberty applies very well for a pastel and matte polish. The wear was average; I had some chips after a couple of days (to be expected, since I didn’t use a topcoat). I painted three thin coats, though some users apply just one coat with these. I don’t apply polish well enough to be done in one coat.

Beautiful. I’ve been wanting to try out that brand for some time now (and Liberty is one of the colors I’ve been eyeing), but I haven’t been able to stomach the price. Someday though!
