You probably already know about canvas shoe brand TOMS — buy one pair, and they’ll give a free pair to a child in need in the third world.
You may also know that TOMS does an annual PR event called One Day Without Shoes, to draw attention to the fact that not having shoes can lead to a bunch of serious but preventable health problems.
This year, One Day Without Shoes falls on April 5th, and Essie teamed up with TOMS to create a commemorative nail polish: One Day Without Blues.
It’s the same shade as TOMS’ logo, and they’re giving away 5,000 bottles for free. All you have to do is “like” TOMS on Facebook. It’s a nice way to make sure your toes look cute if you are going without shoes.
