BIG news, readers — though it does come pretty far in advance. Bare Escentuals, connoisseurs of the swirl-tap-buff, are entering the world of PRESSED eyeshadow. This is huge because “good for you” has always been the backbeat of the brand’s mineral message; they’ve traditionally dissed the binders in other brands’ pressed powders.
BE describes the new Ready eyeshadows as “solid” minerals (though they are pressed). The formula contains a proprietary “SeaNutritive Mineral Complex” (as well as cucumber and caffeine) which promises anti-aging benefits for softer, smoother skin on your eyelids.
I saw a photo of a brown quad and my first reaction was, “wow, that looks like Dolce & Gabbana.” Ready shadows promise “creamy, vivid color,” and if they swatch as good as they look, I’m all-in.
There will be 15 new duos (with options from irresistible neutrals to ka-pow chartreuse-and-cerulean) for $20 each, and 4 new quads for $30 each. These will be available in October (I told you it was a long wait), in Sephora, Sephora-in-JC-Penney, Ulta, Macy’s, Dillards, Nordstrom, etc.

What would be super cool would be the option of buying pans and creating your own palettes!
omg! cannot wait for these palettes to come to the UK! its good to see that Bare minerals is listening to what customers want. I wonder now if they will ever bring out a liquid mineral foundation??? hmm wonder.
