Last year, Guerlain introduced five gorgeous and amazing six-pan palettes (which I have been lusting after since I swatched them).
In just a few short weeks, Guerlain is introducing 9 new eyeshadow quads. They’re $59 each, and look so similar to the Ecrin 6 Couleurs that I’m pre-emptively drawing up my wishlist (the two on the bottom row, maybe the two above them, and the top right hand quad, which looks like Rue des Francs-Bourgeois without the orange shade). These palettes will be named and numbered:
01 Les Violets
02 Les Bleus
03 Les Verts
04 Les Bois de rose
05 Les Gris
06 Les Fumés
07 Les Cuirs
08 Les Perlés
09 Les Noirs
There will also be three new Rouge G lipsticks ($47):
- 25 Garçonne – deliciously intense, daringly bold, a real red, chosen by Natalia for its incomparable, timeless chic
- 70 Gigolo – (I can’t help giggling) a pigmented plum with couture style
- 71 Girly – a pink that plays up its delicate side but is not as innocent as it appears
Fall will also introduce a new shade of liquid eyeliner ($35, called 05 Brun Cendré) and three new shades of pencil eyeliner ($30. The new shades are 20 Khôl Me Navy, 30 Khôl Me Ebony, and 40 Khôl Me Jungle).
If you need something new to play with now, stop by the counter to sniff the new Shalimar Parfum Initial. This lighter, “younger” incarnation of the classic fragrance features a top note of bergamot, heart of rose and iris, and a base of vanilla and tonka bean — and is still 100% Guerlain.
It’s available in a 40 ml EDP ($67), 60 ml EDP ($84), 100 ml EDP ($119), and a 200 ml body lotion ($57). I heard, when it launched, this was the top-selling fragrance in Paris for a while (quite an accomplishment!).
