Kate Spade has added one more product to her already extensive repetoire (purses, clothes, jewelry, papergoods, sunglasses, and shoes): lipstick!
The early buzz for these lipsticks focused on the fact that Supercalifragilipsticks were created in collaboration with Poppy King (the Lipstick Queen), though the in-store merchandising doesn’t really push the point. As far as I know, these lipsticks are permanent. I expect we’ll see more shades in the future, and I wonder whether Poppy will continue to contribute.
As with Poppy’s other lipsticks, these are unscented. They’re sheer, with a low-shine, “natural” finish (what you see here are layered swatches).
Pop Art Pink is bright, warm watermelon. Adventurous Red is sheer cherry. Fuchsia Fete is bright, cool fuchsia (a hot pink with violet tones). Bashful Blush is a “my lips but better” browned mauve rose.
Supercalifragilipsticks are $24 each, available at the Kate Spade boutiques and on KateSpade.com (which is currently offering free shipping at any price).
