Charity Auction

Readers, I am delighted to report that the charity beauty auction is back for year 2, and the items up for sale are mind-blowingly amazing.

This project is the collaborative effort of more than 50 beauty bloggers and brands — who donate new makeup (plus the cost of shipping it to the winner). 100% of your winning bid goes to Doctors Without Borders, an organization dedicated to helping people in need, regardless of their race, religion, or politics.

Some of this year’s items include a complete set of Le Metier de Beaute’s Peau Vierge skincare line (retail value: $1,135, and everyone who tries this stuff swears it changed their life). There’s a Clarisonic, the entire NARS holiday collection, and an unbelievable artist’s treasure trove of Urban Decay products. And I hope somebody bids on my item, a Le Metier Karla Sugar lipgloss, which was available exclusively at the Neiman Marcus counter in Dallas this past summer.

The auction starts Monday, November 28 (Cyber Monday for those of us who start our shopping calendars at Thanksgiving). Until then, feel free to peruse the site, register to bid, and bookmark your favorite items.

    can’t freaking waittttttt

Are these items BNIB or are some slightly used?
Would be great to see which one it is in the description…

Beautiful items! But I thought I saw some usage on the Lady Grey palette?

  • KarlaSugar says:

All BNIB unless otherwise stated. And there are only two items in this year’s auction: the Strange Invisible Perfume and the Dance with Givenchy perfume. Both were sprayed twice for reviewing purposes.

My Lips But Better was recycling a photo of Lady Grey she’d used for her blog (a photo of her own palette) because the one she’d ordered from hadn’t arrived at the time I wanted to upload the auctions. I didn’t realize the usage was so visible, but I’ll make a note in the item description that you are receiving a new palette.
