Sneak Peek: Estee Lauder and Mad Men

Estee Lauder, Mad MenNews is trickling through the internet that Estee Lauder will be creating a two-part makeup collection celebrating the show Mad Men. The first part of the collection will release this March (for a limited time only on esteelauder.com and at Bloomingdales/bloomingdales.com). Part two will release in 2013.

It’s a brilliant collaboration, really — in the 60s, the ladies of Mad Men most likely would have been wearing Lauder.

The two products you have to look forward to are Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection Lipstick in Cherry ($25), and Estee Lauder Mad Men® Collection Creme Rouge in Evening Rose ($40). Of course I want so much more. Nail polish! More lipsticks! Shadow and liner!

The packaging (both the compact and the outer box) are a custom design inspired by the Estee Lauder packaging from the 1960′s. And Constance Jablonski looks sensational in the ad.

Are you excited? Will you be waiting by your computer the night before?

As an avid fan of both Mad Men and Lauder, I must get this.

I honestly found it hard to breathe when I read this. My fantasy as a little girl in the 60′s and 70′s was to have matching lipstick and nail polish from Estee Lauder, that was ONLY available at Neiman Marcus, Dallas.

  • It’s such a brilliant idea, and the packaging is beautiful, but I don’t know if the colors are all that tempting.
