I’m sorry I’ve been away, and been away without an explanation.
This wasn’t a planned hiatus (which is why I didn’t write a post announcing the interruption in blogging). It was a convergence of several life events — most importantly, the terminal illness of my grandfather.
I wasn’t expecting to take time off, it just… happened. I apologize for not writing during that time. I held off because I couldn’t say with certainty when I’d be back. Life is not at all like the movies, and though the outcome is certain, the timing is anything but. My sincere thanks for the kind emails, tweets, and Facebook messages during my absence.
Though I plan to continue swatching, I have also taken on other work commitments, so (regretfully) I won’t be able to continue posting five days a week. I’m not sure what the new schedule will be, but I’ll let you know.
So very sorry to hear about your grandfather, Karla. Hugs to you, and WELCOME BACK! You’ve been so very missed.

Thank you for taking the time to come and explain; that’s very sweet and noble of you. I feel you really don’t need to apologize because this is a blog you do (with great talent) on your spare time, so it’s all natural that you dedicated your time to your loved ones in times of crisis.
