I know I’m not the only one freaking out over Shu’s impending withdrawal from the U.S. But there’s an amazing community of makeup lovers out there, and a few brave volunteers asked what they could do to help, as the stock at counters dwindled.
I owe a huge thanks to bellamelly, who has been trekking all over her hometown to swatch Shu’s Glow On powder blushes. Thanks also to bchow1 for her superlative photographic support.
Bellamelly is just a bit lighter than NC15, so her arm is probably NC15. Here’s what she had to say about Shu’s blushes:
I had never paid any attention to Shu blushes and was bowled over the the quality of these. I found them really blendable — as creamy as a powder can be. There are two formulas: Matte (M) and Perle (P). The shimmer in the perle shades is very fine, more glowy than sparkly. I’m not a fan of shimmer at all, and I would definitely wear these. I am happy to report that none of the shades are frosty; “Glow On” is a very accurate name. These blushes are $23 U.S. / $29 CDN.
