From the moment I heard of Urban Decay’s Naked Palette, I was intrigued… and then I started wondering how long it would be before I actually saw a tester in Sephora.
Fortunately, the beautiful and talented Partymartyw was confident enough to buy this one sight-unswatched, AND she offered to let me republish her swatches and review. To see more of Partymartyw’s beautiful FOTD (face of the day) photos — and fall in love with essentially every makeup item she photographs — I highly recommend her blog.
Urban Decay has a winner with the Naked Palette! I have had a love/hate relationship with Urban Decay over the years. I love their unique colors, but sometimes their eye shadows are loaded with glitter fallout. I am happy to report that Naked is COMPLETELY free of pesky glitter.
The palette comes packaged in a plastic sleeve with a handy travel size of their Primer Potion. I use Primer Potion daily to keep my eyeshadow crease-free.
A cardboard insert tells the names of the shadows and eyeliners. The actual palette is flocked, which might attract fuzz, so I plan to keep the plastic sleeve.
The eye shadows are all full-sized, which is a great value. Inside is a double ended 24/7 eyeliner in Zero and Whiskey.
Virgin is a satin cool-toned pearl. Sin is a shimmery light champagne. Naked is a light neutral matte brown. Sidecar is a shimmery beige. Buck is a medium matte brown that is also neutral. Half Baked is an ultra frosty warm gold. Whiskey is a deep brown liner.
Smog is a rich shimmery bronze. Darkhorse is a deep blackened brown with a satin finish. Toasted is a frosty light bronze. Hustle is a deep brown with a subtle pink flash. Creep is a matte black with tiny silver shimmers. Gunmetal is a silvery deep gray. Zero is a deep black liner.
Overall Urban Decay did a great job with the range of shades and finishes in this palette. A must have for Urban Decay newbs and collectors alike! Naked retails for $44.If you missed out on this palette on the Urban Decay website, have no fear — it is permanent. It is also on Sephora.com.

I seriously can’t wait for this to launch in the UK, I’m totally getting it! This and Book of Shadows 3

I’m waiting for this in the mail. I can’t wait to get it! I have been looking for a neutral palette since I’m a no-fuss makeup gal, and I’m on the road a lot. The closest I’ve gotten to the perfect neutral palette has been the Too Faced Natural Eye palette, but it isn’t the most travel-friendly. I LOVE how Urban Decay has significantly minimized the packaging for this palette.
I’m so glad to know that there’s no gliter or fallout. I had to give my Summer of Love palette to Joey Bunny b/c of the Maui Wowie fallout.
Rumor has it that the new NARS eyeshadow primer can keep even Maui Wowie from glitter-dusting your face…
Just sayin’. (Haven’t tried it myself.)
Oh my…. oh my…. that looks….. gorgeous…
Those swatches look gorgeous. I’m totally in love with this palette, and I haven’t even seen it in person yet!
This looks just lovely. I have a ton of UD already but I might have to get this for Darkhorse and Whiskey alone. Question is, can I hold out until whenever UD’s next F&F is or will I snap it up as soon as it’s back in stock at Sephora?
I disagree. Sidecar, Half-baked, and Creep all have fallout. I was a glittery mess this morning…ugh!
I love all your swatches you are the greatest !!! Love You !
these look gorgeous - I want!
Can I purchase it in Thailand?
Can I purchase it in Thailand?
Or Can u send it to Thailand?
I really really wanted this at first. So many people said they liked it so that made me think it must be amazing. I was so close to buying it for way more than I think it’s really worth now, but I waited until it was in stock and purchashed. So, I have it and I use the shadows, but I’m not really impressed. The colors are too similar.Just different shades of browns. Too boring. I hate the new brush it comes with. But if someone doesn’t already own brown shadows this could be good because you get plenty.
The reason I think it’s not worth all that much is because the colors are too alike. The quality of the shadows are good though.
I thought i was going to love this palette, i am really surprised that no one else is complaining about the horrendous fallout!!! No matter what i do my whole face is a glittery mess, very dissapointed will never buy ud eyeshadow again!
