Soaper1 can read my mind. It’s a scary, but wonderful thing. The day I posted Butter London’s fall sneak peek, she emailed me to say she’d bought All Hail McQueen. (Ulta carries Butter London now?!?)
Anyway, I’m totally thrilled to feature her review and swatch:
All Hail McQueen is actually my first Butter London polish. Until recently, the brand wasn’t easily available to me, but Ulta just started carrying them, in store and online.
The polishes are $14 each and are big-3 free. I’d read mixed reviews about this brand, so I didn’t know what to expect — I was pleasantly surprised. All Hail McQueen applied smoothly and evenly. Honestly, it almost applied itself, it was so easy. This is three coats and one coat of Poshe. It also wore really well.

One last silly detail, which I feel obliged to mention: when you first see Butter London’s bottles, you think the cap is lovely, big, easy-to-turn, look-at-me-using-physics… Â Not exactly. Â Like Dior and Chanel’s nail polishes, that big black cap is just a cover for a smaller, ridged cap underneath.

Wow, this is gorgeous on! Very pretty complex shade. Guess I need to check out my Ulta!
wow that is a really cool color, i think i might just have to be on the look out for that! thanks for the swatch!
Thanks for the gorgeous swatch, I wish you’d described the color a bit too, different screens don’t always show the color accurately.
Verena - I consider this to be a light taupe/khaki with very fine holographic glitter.
With my complexion it’s a very light, further desaturated, taupe-mauve with very fine holographic glitter. It lives up to its brand’s title and goes on like BUTTER. Good thing I bought two thanks to Cafe Makeup’s Amy’s review. Bad thing they’re awfully expensive here. Anyone willing to buy and ship a few more bottles to me?
I’ve used Butter’s polishes before and love them. The colors are really unique and this tribute to A.M. just continues in that vein.
LOVE this color (running to Ulta right now…)!
