This just in! From the incredible KaiserMimiVII of Makeup Withdrawal: swatches of the totally gorgeous LORAC Private Affair palette. Private Affair includes six shadows, a double-ended blender/smudger brush, and a mini tube of LORAC’s eye primer. It’s $38, and available only at Sephora.
KaiserMimiVII’s review:
I couldn’t not show you how pretty this palette is! The six shades are basically a pearly cream-beige, a shimmery pink shell, a warm brown shimmer (Sephora describes it as “soft taupe with pearl,” but I have to disagree; there’s no trace of grey), a soft, gleaming grey pearl, burgundy (a matte wine base with sparkle), and black with multi-dimensional sparkle.
I’m guessing makeup aficionados won’t really find the brush that useful, it’s not the softest brush out there (and a bit scraggly, like an old hippie’s beard). The palette itself contains a pull-out compartment that holds the mini primer and brush.
The six shades are quite pigmented, but — and perhaps it’s just me — I found the shadows a bit more dry than those of previous palettes or eyeshadow singles. I seemed to get a lot of fallout while swatching, which is unfortunate because the colors are beautiful and so well suited for fall. Still, it’s a very sultry palette, and the mini Eye Primer is a nice perk.
Photo taken outside, no flash. Medium swatching intensity.

I really like the wine/burgundy shade.
Beautiful swatches! They look exactly as they do in person.
Every single shade looks absolutely gorgeous and very smooth!
Thanks a lot, Mimi and Karla.
