Shiseido has a new product out: “Luminizing Satin” eyeshadow trios ($33), inspired by the global travels of creative director Dick Page.
Snow Shadow (GY901) was inspired by “a wintery Long Island scene.†Opera (GD804) was named for Palais Garnier, an opera house in Paris. Strata was inspired by rocks in New Mexico; Tropicalia by a plant in southern California — the others are pretty self-explanatory.
According to Shiseido, a good bit of makeup technology went into these shadows. They say the shadows contain light-reflective pigment, pearl for smoothness, a hydrating ingredient, and provide all-day wear.
All I can tell you is that they are fantastic: soft, smooth, pigmented. Your only challenge will be choosing a trio that works for you. The shades are all shimmery; the first shade in Tropicalia also has tiny blue sparkles.

These trios are the second Luminizing Satin eyeshadow products from Shiseido (the singles are $25 each and come in 21 shades, plus one limited edition summer color).

These are all gorgeous but I highly doubt anyone can/would wear all three shades in the trio. They don’t seem to go together.
These are nice, but I have a feeling I wouldn’t use all of the shades in each trio.
Do all the trios have clear covers on top of the eyeshadows? I got several of them but they don’t have the clear covers… just wondering
