This past weekend I had the great pleasure of sitting in the chair of Marcus Monson, national artist for Guerlain, genius, and total charmer.
I always learn something new at events like these, so I thought I’d show you my finished look and tell you what Marcus used (I’ll do a second, TFMA post on what I learned).
PREP
Orchidee Imperiale Cream and Eye Cream (Guerlain’s top-of-the-line moisturizers)
FACE
Meteorites Compact Powder 01 (new for spring) — this is actually a powder (not a foundation, per se). But when I explained to Marcus that I have a fear of heavy, “Texas”-looking foundation, he said, “why don’t we just use the new powder?” I thought results were beautifully soft-focus.
Precious Light Rejuvenating Illuminator in 01 (as concealer)
Blush G Serie Noire
EYES
Precious Light Rejuvenating Illuminator in 01 (as eyeshadow base)
Rue de Rivoli palette (new for spring)
Le 2 Mascara (gold tube) – top lashes
Le 2 Volume Mascara (black tube) – bottom lashes
LIPS
Rouge G lipstick 71 Rose Desir (new for spring)
Kiss Kiss Gloss 849 (new for spring)
just a dab of the shimmery white shade of the Rivoli palette in the center of the lip for long-lasting shine
I really loved this look!

I also love getting my makeup done, it’s so relaxing. You look really cute in the picture, how do you like the Meteorites powder?
Why can’t I be made up to look as nice and fresh? Every time they slap piles of stuff on my face and I don’t look good.
I love the new Guerlain makeup!
Isabella — I liked it! I would definitely want to try it again (and check myself out in sunlight). I especially like the idea of a powder foundation for travel, because I could take one more liquid out of my sadly overstuffed ziplock bag.
