Tremendous thanks to Nicole of Beauty-Free (a blog that tracks Duty-Free beauty finds) for guest-swatching another Makeup Academy palette: Glitter Ball. Nicole says, “Despite the name, most eyeshadows are shimmery rather than glittery and very wearable. Their texture is great and the taupe shade (third from left on the bottom row) is so lovely I want to marry it.”
As I learned from Nicole, Makeup Academy is best known for their £1 product range. Nicole says those products are okay, but the brand’s newer, “Professional” products are nicer. She says the quality of the Professional line is comparable to Sleek (another English drugstore brand known for great pigmentation and texture).
