I have a VERY exciting guest swatch for you today: from Barney’s exclusive collaboration with Lady Gaga (Gaga’s Holiday Workshop), Deborah Lippmann’s Edge of Glory set!
AlexandraRC tipped me off to this snazzy duo. It contains two full-sized polishes: a black creme and a crazy-rainbow-flakie topcoat. The set originally retailed for $40, but is currently on sale for $29 (and shipping is freeeee).
The only downside to the discounted price is that you’ve missed the window in which your purchase would have supported a charity. Through January 2nd, Barney’s was donating 25% of “Workshop” sales to Gaga’s charity, the Born This Way foundation.

Click here for more of AlexandraRC’s swatches of this one. And if you’re wondering what happened to “Albert Einstein,” AlexandraRC changed her blog’s name to Sparkly Vernis.

Ooh, that flakie topcoat is stunning. AlexandraRC also has such lovely nails!
@ joyce: thank you for the compliment <3
lovely, LOVELY nails - all I can think is how much of a pain it is to remove that top coat.
Otherwise, I would totally sport this look!
“The only downside… Barney’s was donating 25% of “Workshop” sales to Gaga’s charity, the Born This Way foundation.”
Is the downside that the charity doesn’t receive more financial benefit due to the sale price? Or, do you just not support this cause? Just curious, and hoping your answer is not the latter. Was really enjoying your blog, but now I’m needing clarification before I support/share your blog.
Thank you.
The only downside TO THE DISCOUNTED PRICE is that Barney’s *was* donating that extra money to charity.
Thanks for pointing out that readers could be confused. I’ll make that sentence more clear.
Folks, the Born This Way Foundation launches sometime this year. Their website (BornThisWayFoundation.org) is pretty sparse right now, but the foundation “will focus on youth empowerment and equality by addressing issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring and career development and will utilize digital mobilization as one of the means to create positive change.” (source: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1673633/lady-gaga-born-this-way-foundation.jhtml)
From the better late than never department: Thank you for clarifying that! : )
