I have two favorite kinds of nail polish: holographic (holos) and ultra shiny cremes (though with the right topcoat, any polish can be glossy). So naturally, when I heard cruelty-free, vegan, “three-free” (formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP free) brand Nubar was releasing a spring holo collection, I was super excited.
The Prisms aren’t true holos — holo polishes feel smooth to the touch; the polish itself is holographic. These polishes have holographic glitter in a tinted (but non-holo) base. Slightly harder to remove, but still worth getting excited about.
Prize, Essence, Gem, and Jewel have large sparkles, and feel slightly gritty without topcoat (and I think I like them better). Spark, Absolute, Treasure, and Brilliance have a much finer grade of sparkle, and feel smooth.
Prize is electric red-pink. Essence is metallic cherry blossom. Gem is grey-reflects-pink (like MAC Vex?). Jewel is browned brass. Spark is champagne. Absolute, Treasure, and Brilliance are colors Hello Kitty would wear if she painted her nails.
The Prism Collection polishes are $9.49 each, or you can buy the whole collection for $59.95 on Nubar’s website.
These polishes were provided by Nubar for swatching.

>Really Beautiful Colors! I really like the way you did your swatches
<3
>Lovely! I also really like that they're formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP free!
>Beautiful! I'll probably get the collection eventually. This "birthday presents for myself" list is starting to get really long…yikes.
>Must…have…gem…Iz jealous you haz teh Nubarz!
LOL, but seriously, they all look totally awesome. But I really really want Gem!
Thank you so much for the swatches, this has been so useful to choose which ones I wanted. I ended up buying the three last on the right, and they are so nice. I love holos.
