Korres Mango Butter Lipstick

Korres started out (in 1996) as an all-natural skincare brand, and in the last year or so — to the delight of their fans — expanded their offering to include color cosmetics. One of the most talked-about “color items” is their Mango Butter Lipstick. These sheer, moisturizing lipsticks contain Mango Butter (doy), vitamins C and E, and SPF 10. They are $18 each, available in Sephora and in Korres’ flagship store in NYC. (The perfect item for your 15% Sephora discount?)
Korres, Mango Butter, lipstick, swatches, 24 Peach, 45 Coral, 18 Peach, 14 Pink, 54 Fuchsia, 12 Frost Pink, 36 Natural Brown, 33 Nude, 13 Natural Pink, 25 Natural Purple, 22 Rose, 38 Cinnamon
Don’t they look so pretty all together like that? Though some of the shade names left me scratching my head.

24 Purple is a very cool, purply rose. 45 Coral is bright coral (and is the only shade designated as a “gloss” on Korres’ webpage). 18 Peach is sheer raspberry with gold sparkles. 14 Pink is sheer strawberry (a little redder than Peach). 54 Fuchsia is sheer, violet red. 12 Frost Pink is frosty, shimmery pale pink. 36 Natural Brown is sheer, shimmery tan. 33 Nude is warm, slightly rosy nude. 13 Natural Pink is blush-pink. 25 Natural Purple is sheer red-brown. 22 Rose and 38 Cinnamon are designated “Sheer Color Brilliant High Shine.” I copied the shades names off the display in Sephora; Korres’ webpage calls 22 “Naked Rose” and 38 “Naked Brown.”  Rose/Naked Rose is a lovely peach-pink with a few gold sparkles; Cinnamon/Naked Brown is sheer tan with a few gold sparkles.

My local Sephora does not carry 47 Orange Brown or 52 Orange Red.

I like Fuchsia and Coral. Definitely some non-purple colors with purple names!

  • Many people told me that I should give Mango lipsticks a try as I had tried its Guava Lipstick in Natural Pink and 34 Nude. They told me Mango has better texture. Seeing your swatches again reminded me to check these out. I’d stop by its counter when I go to city the next time. Thanks.

I bought the Peach one recently, so smooth and creamy!

Agreed re: the names. I have their body wash and lotion, though, and they tend to mangle English at times with the labeling.

All of these look so creamy & pretty. Yes, but the names are boring.

I absolutely LOVE these and I don’t normally like lipstick. It feels like lip balm but looks gorgeous, I am wearing 22 Rose today :) I can’t wait to get more colors. This would be an awesome giveaway!!

I got Rose/Naked Rose for $8 as one of the Sephora sweet steals online (i noticed instore they only had Coral, Brown, and some other shade, but no Rose/Naked Rose). And honestly, this is one of my favorite l/s. it’s so smooth and hydrating! it goes on more like a lipbalm than a lipstick. has more lasting power than the only other l/s that i find equally hydrating (CG Trushine in Blushberry, d/ced) but lasts far better. It makes me think of the LM Glossticks i think.

but yeah, i really love my Naked Rose. :D

Do you know if this has been discontinued? I was really wanting to try this!
