Guest Swatcher: Illamasqua Blush

I recently got my first taste of Illamasqua, and eager for more, I asked if anyone was willing to guest swatch. To my delight, reader Laura answered the call, with swatches of three of the blushes I had been wondering about. Laura is approximately NC15 on MAC’s scale. Here’s her rundown on these three shades:

Illamasqua Powder blushes are highly pigmented and totally matte. They are so pigmented that they apply easily without streaking or blotching and only the lightest touch is needed (for me, a skunk brush is ideal). The lasting power of these blushes is unparalleled in my opinion — the color last 8+ hours for me. Katie is a cool, milky pink; Lover is a light, clear apricot and Tremble is light, bright warm pink (the warmer sister to MAC’s Pink Swoon).

These swatches leave me puzzled. I own Lover and it is the most gorgeous true peach; there’s nothing blotchy or orange about it. Maybe the angle/lighting is off?

    Woooowww… Tremble looks sssooooo cute!
Karla, would you swacth Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation please?? From what I’ve heard that is a great foundation, I mean reallyyyy great. Full coverage yet doesn’t feel heavy at all.
Too bad we don’t have Illamasqua in my country, I have to purchase it online :(

Unfortunately, Adelita, we don’t have Illamasqua here yet either — the swatches so far have been thanks to some fabulous guest swatchers. I’ll ask if anyone wants to take on that foundation, and hopefully we’ll start getting product here soon.
