Trish’s Capri Collection is now on counters — though I hesitate to call it “the” summer collection. It’s more like “a” summer collection. While Trish’s limited releases are always appropriate for the season, she doesn’t seem to do big seasonal collections. Just as Trish edits her line to keep it manageable, her collections are never overwhelming.
The collection offers two “Highlights All Over Face Colors” — all over? I’m not so sure. Basically she has a cream bronzer (Capri) and a cream highlighter (London). Both are very sparkly; both are $35. Capri is quite brown (as you can see in the heavier swatch) — I didn’t like it on me. Remember that Trish’s products are sold as pans, for you to place in your own refillable compacts or planners.
24-hour Eyeshadow and Liner is a new product, a long-wear, creaseproof mechanical crayon. As the name suggests, these can be blended out as a shadow or used as a liner (and I swatched them both ways). The names are a bit odd: Aquamarine is a bright, cool silver; Topaz is warm, golden brown; Crystal Gray is charcoal. All three are metallic as liners; sparkly as shadows. They are $32 each.
The two new lipsticks are both “Classic Lip Colors,” which means Trish has sworn never to discontinue the shades. They’re $23 each. Â I think Vibrant looks fun for summer.
The Beauty Booster lipgloss contains SPF 15, comes in a slant-tip squeeze tube, and is a sweet, warm, sparkly pink. It is $25.
