Buxom has a new product out: Smoky Eye Stick. These waterproof twist-up crayons are can be worn as eyeliner or smudged into shadow. Buxom even makes a little bullet-shaped smudging brush for the task.

Smokin’ Pistol is black. Two by Four is dark brown. 5″ Stiletto is a blackened purple shimmer. Nunchucks is a metallic sapphire. Ice Pick is slate grey. Silver Sword is charcoal shimmer. Brass Knuckles is foxy red-brown shimmer. Bow & Arrow is forest green.
After photographing, I rubbed my fingers over the swatches. I’m pleased to report that nothing moved (though black flaked slightly). I also tried Silver Sword as eyeshadow, and I found the formula more blendable than Urban Decay’s comparable 24/7 Shadow Pencils. Buxom’s pencils also come in a more subdued palette.
Smokey Eye Sticks are $18 each
; the accompanying brush is $17
.

I love the concept of a smoky eye ‘stick’. Just apply some to the lash line and smudge it out with your finger. Simple, chic and ultra fast. Thanks for the swatches! I think I need Smokin’ Pistol and Ice Pick to start…
They look lovely! My only complaint is that they don’t have a shimmery coppery brown color that isn’t so red. When you smudged the color to make it an eyeshadow, did you use the accompanying brush, or just your finger?
I already have Smokin’ Pistol and I love using it to line my waterline, it’s super black! Judging from these swatches I need Ice Pick next!
Karla, are these easier to blend than the MAC greasepaint sticks? Thanks! xo
