I got a nail polish recently, and though I was excited about it, I hadn’t planned to blog about it (it hardly seems fair to talk about a not-for-sale product).
The nail polish was a promotional item; Paige denim had a nail polish made in their signature blue. I loved it the first time I saw the bottle — cobalt is so hot right now. But I also take it as a bad sign when a polish bottle doesn’t mention its provenance (the nail polish brand that created it).
The polish didn’t work out. It was matte (which I wasn’t expecting and didn’t love… I topcoated it into a more conventional finish). It chipped significantly within 24 hours, despite my unbreakable combination of Seche Vite and Color Club Vivid topcoats.
But the color is so pretty! Deep almost-purple blue creme. I thought you guys might have some suggestions on duplicating this color.

Paige on my tips with Color Club Poptastic on my toes:

Perhaps Essie No More Film?
If you can find RBL in IKB:2012 it’s similar- maybe a smidge more purple. It’s a jelly, too. It was LE though….
You might give Essie Mesmerize a try
It’s beautiful!
Nails Inc. Belgrave Place is close, a little more purple. Nails Inc. Baker Street is a brighter cobalt.
I recommend Nails Inc. in Baker Street.
You have mannequin hands/feet! I’m so jealous!
Try Revlon Royal!
I wish I had a “good” dupe. I picked up a cheap brand called Bonita that had a gorgeous deep indigo/cobalt like this and the color was so thin and streaky I just wanted to cry.
